Fire, unwitnessed
We talk a lot about witnessing each other, but what happens if we are left unwitnessed?
I had my first chiropractic session in years tonight. I drove home, and walked into my apartment so aligned. I did a couple things, and then felt like listening to a podcast. I hadn’t listened to one in a while. Also in the same moment, I felt like chatting with my friend Elsa. So what do I do in moods like this? Well, sometimes I just turn on an episode from her magical podcast called “A Little Western. A Little Witchy. A Whole Lotta Wild”. It’s not just a podcast, it’s a beautiful energetic space. Like energy work, you take what you need from this podcast and leave the rest. Elsa tells stories, provides a grounded energetic space and connects listeners to all parts of this universe, all in one podcasting space!
There was one episode that I found out about in the fall that I’ve been wanting to listen too, but it just wasn’t the right time.
I am so happy that I didn’t force it because I had such a beautiful experience with this episode. I felt like I was listening to it for 3 hours, even though I was only 40 minutes in. The energy is deep and healing.
The episode I’m talking about is called Man’s Red Flower: Fire which can be found on Spotify (which is linked) or wherever else you listen to your podcasts.
I’m not going to spoil the episode for you, some of the channeled words Elsa shares is about being “unwitnessed”. Now, normally people start to wake up and realize that they want to be seen and witnessed. They find it honorable work to witness others. However, the dangers of being unwitnessed are rarely shared. There are big consequences. You get stuck. You can’t swim through the flow. Your fire gets dimmer. You are consumed by the energy of others. Unwitnessed. Not seen. It’s hard on the body and soul.
Now, this doesn’t mean you need to bring your ego out and start shouting from the rooftops. With realizing the dangers of being unwitnessed, it becomes a time to explore what is unwitnessed within you and what needs to be shared with this world. Why is it unwitnessed? What work needs to be done? How can you share your Soul with others? How do you do your Soul work? What does it look and feel like? How can others witness you? How do you want to be witnessed?
How do you want to be witnessed?
That’s a big fucking question right there.
Go journal about it or burn a candle and ask the flame, or something. Go do something about it! Go run around, trying to figure out the unwitnessed parts of yourself. Go. Go. GO. The time is now.
Burn until you don’t anymore. Burn, burn, burn. I hope this lights the inner fire within you. I hope you feel the urgency here.
I hope you chase the sacred.
Thank you for witnessing me,
D
How do I want to be witnessed? That's an interesting one, especially for me. I'm a projector in human design which means my big gift is to see people, and I desire to be seen but I have a harder time seeing myself. And the way to be seen by others, is to see myself. So maybe it's how can I witness myself?
This is exactly where I am this week. Only just coming to the conclusion that I have a part to play in making sure I am witnessed, somehow this was a revelation to me as I waited for others around me to change. Saving this podcast for sure!
